Weldtronics Managing Director Dave Osman recently joined the 2008 Australian Mining Delegation to New Caledonia. The opportunity hosted by Austrade enabled participants to enhance their understanding of New Caledonia’s nickel mining and metallurgical sectors, meet key local industry decision makers and explore business opportunities in a vibrant, potential-filled market.

Paull Nettleton - Superintendent Weldtronics Maintenance & Technical Services, was delighted to be invited to speak at the Perth conference and provided conference goers an insight into the key aspects of managing maintenance crews and also spoke to his passion of building trade skills for the future with thorough apprenticeships. Weldtronics celebrated 3 years LTI free in December 2007. Managing Director Dave Osman, said, “We are very proud of this achievement and everyone at Weldtronics is committed to working safely. 3rd Annual Shutdowns and Outages Best Practice Conference September 2007
Troy Cawthan – General Manager Weldtronics Maintenance & Technical Services, was delighted to be invited to speak at the Perth conference. In a joint presentation with Chris Burton (Shutdown Solutions Australia), Troy covered a case study delivering outage success through a true partnering approach between a blue chip client and contractor. Weldtronics adds Maintenance and Technical Services to the Group
In August 2007 Weldtronics engaged Troy Cawthan to head up its new Weldtronics Maintenance and Technical Services (WMTS) business unit. WMTS brings new project capability to the Weldtronics Group. “We have quickly put a team together with significant industry experience to assist clients to manage projects from the planning and scoping phase right through to execution” , said Troy. “With the support of the Weldtronics specialist fabrication capability we have the ability to quickly fabricate key components and get them installed on site. Combining the strengths of the existing Weldtronics team with our project execution skills provides new value to all the Weldtronics clients.”
